A checkout is abandoned
Captured with whatever contact detail the customer gave, at whatever step they gave it. Waiting for the final step loses most of them.

Book a Free Consultation →Cart recovery that stops discounting people who were coming back anyway
Most recovery flows are a fixed three-email sequence with a coupon in message two. That coupon goes to everyone, including the large share who would have returned on their own. RecoverlyAI decides per customer whether a discount is what is missing.
A fixed sequence cannot tell the difference between a customer who abandoned because the shipping cost surprised them and one who was comparing on a second tab and would have finished anyway. It sends both the same coupon.
Timing, channel and whether an incentive appears at all are decided per checkout from the signals on it: returning or new, cart value, what they did before abandoning, and how this cohort has behaved before.
Three channels, one decision layer, and reporting that separates recovered revenue from revenue you were getting anyway.
One recovery flow across three channels, choosing between them per customer rather than firing all three at everyone.
Email or phone captured as early as the customer gives it, so a recoverable checkout exists before the last step.
Three questions answered per checkout instead of one sequence applied to all of them. The first is the one that costs money: a coupon sent to a customer who was returning anyway is pure margin given away, and at scale it is the single largest cost in most recovery programmes.
A control group receives nothing, so recovered revenue is measured against what would have happened without any message at all. Almost every recovery app reports gross recovered revenue, which counts customers who never needed contacting and always looks excellent.
Consent respected per channel, with caps so a customer who abandons twice in a week is not messaged six times.
Your copy and your templates, editable without a developer, with the decision layer choosing between them rather than writing them.
Captured with whatever contact detail the customer gave, at whatever step they gave it. Waiting for the final step loses most of them.
Returning or new, cart value, browsing behaviour, prior response. The question is what is missing, not which message is next.
Whether to message, on which channel, at what hour, and whether an incentive is part of it.
Against a holdout that received nothing, so the number reported is the number you actually gained.
Recovery apps report the two most flattering numbers available. Here is what we report instead, and why.
If a customer abandons, comes back an hour later on their own, and a recovery email happened to arrive in between, most apps count the full order as recovered. The number is real; the attribution is not.
Beyond a small number of touches, additional messages recover almost nothing and cost list health, deliverability and goodwill. The cap is a feature.

RecoverlyAI is an intelligent cart recovery app for Shopify that reads buying intent before it sends anything. Instead of emailing every abandoner the same coupon, it classifies each shopper into an intent segment, picks a recovery path built for that segment, and decides whether a discount belongs in the message at all.
The discount engine starts at zero and escalates only when behaviour says price is the missing variable — for example the shopper viewed the returns policy or opened the cart twice. A high-intent buyer gets trust and shipping reassurance at 0% off; a price-hesitant one may get a small incentive that steps up but never crosses the cap you set.
Six stages behind every recovery: track the behaviour signals, classify the shopper into a segment, assign the recovery path for that segment, generate the copy, send on schedule, and halt the moment the order lands. Each stage is visible in the app, so you can see why a given shopper got the message they got.
No. There is no flowchart editor to wire up. Every shopper is automatically classified into one of twelve intent segments — checkout abandoners, almost-buyers, window shoppers and so on — and each segment already has its own tuned path, tone and discount logic. You adjust thresholds rather than define them from scratch.
Yes, instantly. A purchase webhook halts the recovery path mid-sequence, so nobody receives a discount for something they already paid full price for. Paths also stop on unsubscribe, on refund, and whenever you pause the app yourself.
Yes, per customer, per segment and per step, so nothing reads like a template. You keep the guardrails: brand tone presets from luxury through to minimal and bold, a forbidden-word list for compliance and brand safety, a discount-aggressiveness setting, and region-aware tone so EU clarity and US urgency are not the same email.
English, German, French, Spanish and Italian natively, with copy generated in the customer’s own language rather than machine-translated after the fact. Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Swedish and Japanese are available as an add-on as they launch.
Yes. Set a global discount cap or per-collection rules, exclude specific products, and keep sale items out of recovery discounting entirely. Repeat abusers — shoppers who abandon deliberately to trigger a coupon — are detected and frozen out on the higher tier.
None of them. Tracking runs on Shopify-approved surfaces only — the Pixels Extension, the Webhooks API and the Admin API — so there is no script injected into your theme, no third-party cookies and no dark patterns. Signals are consent-aware by default and use Shopify’s own consent system, which is what keeps the setup GDPR-safe.
Under five minutes. Install on your Shopify store, choose your brand tone and discount cap, and the segments and paths are already built. There is no theme editing, no popup to design and no developer involved.
Every metric maps to money: recovered revenue, the discount cost that produced it, net profit after discount, and conversion at each step of each recovery path. That means you can see which segments are actually earning and which are leaking margin, rather than only a flattering gross figure.
Yes, in one click. You can also enable or disable individual segments, set the recovery window, and cap or exclude at collection level — useful before a promotion, a restock or a PR moment when you do not want an automated coupon going out on top.
A flow sends the same sequence to everyone on a timer, usually with a blanket discount in message two. RecoverlyAI decides per shopper whether to contact them at all, which path fits their intent, and whether an incentive is warranted — so the customers who were returning anyway do not cost you margin on the way back.
Basic is $29 a month for up to 1,000 recovery emails, Growth is $79 for up to 10,000 with all five languages and brand tone control, and Pro is $149 for unlimited recovery emails plus custom segments and abuser detection. Annual billing saves 20%. There are no per-recovery or per-email fees on top.
Fourteen days of full Growth-tier access — all languages, all segments, brand tone and A/B testing — with no card required to start. You pick a plan when the trial ends, and you are warned three days in advance.
Sending does not stop, because interrupting recovery mid-path is worse than a small overage. You are notified at 80% and 100% of your quota, and anything beyond it is billed at $3 per 1,000 extra emails. Most stores add the extra-volume add-on instead and keep a buffer.
You can export your full analytics and segment data as CSV before you go. Operational data is retained for 30 days for billing reconciliation and then permanently deleted, and all customer behaviour data is deleted within seven days of uninstall, as Shopify requires. The app uninstalls cleanly with no leftover scripts.
